Glendon Charles Dalton

NORTH HAMPTON — Glen C. Dalton, 70, of North Hampton, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at his home.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1938, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Fred G. and Alice (White) Dalton.

Mr. Dalton was a graduate of Hampton Academy with the Class of 1956, and was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army.

He was employed by the state of New Hampshire Publics Works and Highways Department as a surveyor for 38 years. He also had worked as a brick mason for Bill Carter.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hampton Falls. Most importantly he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved spending time with his grandsons.

Family members include his wife of 46 years, Eileen (Cate) Dalton of North Hampton; his son, Jonathan Dalton and his wife, Melissa, of Florida; his daughter, Rebecca Dalton Perry and her husband, David, of Michigan; three grandsons, Nicholas, Joshua and Boston; his brother, Kelvin W. Dalton of North Hampton; his sister, Janice Taylor of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.

WE REMEMBER: He was a licensed pilot, flying out of the Hampton Air Field, and also enjoyed working at his home on the grounds doing landscaping. Mr. Dalton was also an avid antique bottle collector.

SERVICES: There will be no visiting hours. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Hampton Falls. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Private burial will be in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The First Baptist Church General Fund, 3 Lincoln Ave., Hampton Falls, NH 03844.
