The town’s Planning Board earlier this month unanimously approved a change of use request to allow a french cooking school in downtown Hampton to operate a restaurant.
Owner Ron Boucher, of Chez Boucher Culinary Training Center, said he’s been operating a full-time cooking school at 32 Depot Square since 2009. He told the Planning Board that he now wants the location to be a cooking school by day and a restaurant by night.
As part of the proposal, he will dissolve the store and convert it to a 25-seat bar and lounge.
The restaurant will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The bar will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Brunch/lunch would be served 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
