DERRY — Gregory William Smart, 24, of 4E Misty Morning Drive, Derry, died Tuesday, May 1, from injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.
He was born in Nashua Sept. 4, 1965, the son of William J. and Judith A. (Belliveau) Smart, and had been a resident of Derry for the past two years, formerly living in Londonderry.
Mr. Smart was employed as a sales representative for Metropolitan Insurance Co. in Nashua.
He was a graduate of Londonderry High School, Class of 1983, and graduated from Metropolitan Creer Success School in Warwick, R.I.
He was a Leaders Conference qualifier in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela A. (Wojas) Smart of Derry; his parents of Derry; two brothers, Ricky J. Smart of Nashua and Dean J. Smart of Derry; his paternal grandparents, Col. Richard J. and Mary A. (Hurley) Smart of Nashua; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12:45 p.m. Friday from the Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, with a Mass of Christian buril at 2 p.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas church, Derry. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
