Michael J. Arundel

September 22, 1929 – October 20, 1999

HAMPTON — Michael J. Arundel, 70, of 4 Cogger St., died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999 at Exeter Healthcare.

Born Sept. 22, 1929, in Roxbury, Mass., he was the son of the late Michael J. and Katherine (Beades) Arundel.

He was a 1949 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School. A veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, he served with the Air Force for 21 years, retiring as a technical sergeant. After his retirement from the service, he worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for a short time.

A resident of Hampton since 1965, he was a member of the Hampton American Legion Post No. 35, Piscataqua Chapter No. 4 Disabled American Veterans of Newington, Air Force Sergeants Association, the Retired Enlisted Association and AARP.

He was the husband of C. Marilyn (Galvin) Arundel for 45 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael J. Arundel and Stephen P. Arundel, both of Hampton; three daughters, Janet L. Hepner of Tucson, Ariz., Kelly M. Arundel of Exeter, N.H. and Danielle E. Russell of Okinawa, Japan; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was interred in the High Street Cemetery.
