HAMPTON - James F. Fallon Jr., Esq., 80, of Hampton, a retired lawyer, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

He was born in Medford, Mass., on Aug. 2, 1924, a son of the late James F. Fallon and Helen (Grady) Fallon.

Raised in Medford, he attended local schools and graduated valedictorian of Medford High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, class of 1945, and received his law degree from Harvard Law School, class of 1950.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army 32nd Red Arrow Division stationed in New Guinea, Australia and Japan.

Mr. Fallon practiced law with McWalter and McWalter, P.C. Attorneys at Law in Concord, Mass., for many years. After his retirement in the early 1960s, he moved to Hampton, coming from Medford, and managed the family drug store, Donovan & Fallon, at Hampton Beach until the late 1980s.

He served the town of Hampton as selectman from 1975 to 1977 and also served on the municipal budget committee for the town from 1978 to 1992. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church.

He leaves his brother, Robert A. Fallon and his wife, Mary, of Hampton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Hanson.

FALLON - James F. Fallon Jr., 80, of Hampton, died Feb. 15, 2005. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Mr. Fallon's nephew, the Rev. Marc Fallon, C.S.C., at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Hampton on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, Mass. If desired, donations may be made to Sacred Heart School, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842.
