HAMPTON -- Catherine Fones Fletcher, 83, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at her home.

She was born April 4, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Helen (Kieffer) and James Hoban.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Gerhard Blume of Hampton; three grandchildren, USAF First Lt. Hoban Blume of Little Rock, Ark., Salim Blume of Madison, Ala., and Eden Blume of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters and their husbands, Patricia and Paul Tomiczek of Williamsburg, Va., and Jane and Peter Braun of Alexandria, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth "Corky" Fones; her second husband, U.S. Navy Cmdr. William Fletcher III; and one son, James Fones.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. in Saint Rita Church, Alexandria. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation preceding the Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Interment follow in Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax, Va.,

A memorial service and visitation will be held in Hampton in early March and will be announced by the Robert K. Gray Jr. Funeral Home, Hampton.
