Maurice H. Friedman

HAMPTON – Maurice H. Friedman, 86, died on March 26, 2015.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sept. 9, 1928, to Jack and Anna Friedman.

Maury was a veteran of the US Air Force, graduated from University of Texas – Austin (BSCE) and Marist College (MBA), and spent 30 years with IBM.

He has been an active member of the Temple Israel-Portsmouth, the town of Hampton and several contract bridge communities, applying his woodworking skills to many projects.

Maury always put his family first, never stopped learning about his world and taught those qualities to his sons.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bea Friedman; his sons Scot and his wife, Ronit, Joel and his wife, Marina), Cary and his wife, Lisa, and Leny and his wife, Margaret); as well as 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Maury was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Gabe Friedman.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Temple Israel, 200 State St., Portsmouth. Donations for the purchase of large print Hebrew fiction books may be made to Nancy Mae Shaines Memorial Library, c/o Temple Israel, 200 State St., Portsmouth, N.H. 03801.
