William D. Keohane

HAMPTON — William D. Keohane, 79, of 26 Walnut Avenue, died Monday at the Veterans Administration Center, Togus, Maine, following a long illness.

Mr. Keohane was the husband of the late Rosetta (Sherrin) Keohane.

He was born in Lowell, Mass. on Nov. 27, 1898, the son of the late Cornelius M. and Cathrine (Riley) Keohane.

Mr. Keohane had been a resident of Hampton for many years, and he was the owner and manager of the Blue Spruce Cottages at Hampton Beach for 30 years, until his retirement in 1970. He was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton, and was a member of the Catholic Men's Club. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 35 of Hampton.

Family members include two sons, Robert Keohane of Hampton and Edward Keohane of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., nine grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m.

Friends may call at the Ronald A. Remick Funeral Home, 811 Lafayett Road, Hampton, this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Burial will follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
