HAMPTON -- Marie A. Sullivan, 72, of 6 Thomsen Road, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, in Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1934, in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Dorothy E. (Mathison) Neagle. Following her husband's military career, she had resided in many parts of the country before coming to Hampton in 1972.

She was a 1952 graduate of Roslindale (Mass.) High School.

Mrs. Sullivan worked at Lane Memorial Library in Hampton for 18 years. She had previously worked several years during the 1950s in the offices of the Boston Minuteman Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

She loved to read and travel, and had visited Bermuda, the Caribbean and Europe.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert J. Sullivan of Hampton; one daughter, Laura M. Sullivan-Feldborg and her husband Eric of Fremont; two brothers, Charles A. Neagle of Indianapolis, Ind., and Brian W. Neagle of Raynham, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. www.remickgendron.com
