HAMPTON -- Baroness Martha Louise von Blomberg, Countess de Andros, 76, 111 Exeter Road, died suddenly Sunday at the Exeter Hospital.

The Baroness was born in Hamburg, Germany, March 1, 1896, Martha Louise Moennich.

She was married to the late Baron Richard Fritz von Blomberg, cousin of the late Field Marshall Werner von Blomberg, former Minister of Defense of Germany.

She studied at the Pioneer Theological Seminary in Illinois where she received her doctor of literature. Her doctor of theology was obtained at the Academy of the Order of Alfred the Great in London.

She received her doctor of divinity at the College of Practical Sciences in London in 1970.

The Baroness was a world missionary and author of eight books on Christianity, the latest being "The Desire of Nations, a timely work for the distressed world". She also wrote a book of poems.

She was given the title of Hon. Dame Commander of the Ordre Militaire et Dynastique des Chavaliers de la Croix de Constantinople.

Baroness von Blomberg traveled more than one million miles through 120 countries and worked together with over 100 missionary societies and churches.

She was received all over the world by royalty, nobility, government and ecclesiastical heads.

She was familiar with some 80 tribes of Latin American Indians and was also known, for her explorations into the Xingu Jungles of Brazil; the Green Hell of Bolivia and the Argentinian savages.

Baroness von Blomberg was recently guest of the Shah of Iran at the celebrations at Persepolis.

She leaves two cousins --- Baron Frary von Blomberg; and Baron Anton Ozbolt von Blomberg; also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Meyer of Jackson Heights, N.Y.

She lived in Hampton for the past 13 years.

Funeral services were held this morning at the family home. Arrangements were by the Ronald A. Remick Funeral Home of Hampton.
