To all faithfull people in Christ unto whom these presents may come know yee that I William Palmer of Hampton in the County of Norfolk in New England yoeman for and in consideration of a release of a certain parcel of land lying in Great Ormsby in old England by my daughter Martha Palmer which is now the wife of John Sherman of Watertown in the which land the said Marther Palmer had a peculiar right and interest to the value of one hundred and five pounds and for other good causes and considerations me reasonably moveing have given granted and confirmed and by these present do give grant and confirm unto the said John Sherman and Martha his wife my dwelling house and the house lot with all the other ground which I have at Newbery which is 20 acres or there-about with all rights and priviledges to the same belonging and also my house lot with all that my ground lying or being in Hampton aforesaid with all my commonage right and priviledges to the said ground belonging and also three cows and two yearling steere calves and one suckling calfe and all my household stuff my wearing clothes only excepted to have and to hold the said cattell houses ground and household stuff with all comonages rights privileges and appurtanences and all other things except as is before excepted to the said John Sherman and Martha his wife their executors and assignes to the sole and proper use behoof and benefit of the said John Sherman and Martha his wife for ever without any lost denial or interruption of me the said Will: Palmer my executors or assignes or any other lawfully claiming or under we the said William Palmer of any part or parcell thereof in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal Sat. the 10th day of the first month Anno 1645./
