To The Residents of Hampton:

I wish to offer my sincere congratulations to the citizens of Hampton in their celebration of the three hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the founding of this community. With a great deal of patriotism, pride and respect, we begin a year of celebration of this historic event by participation in many varied events and ceremonies designed to create a remembrance of times past and promises of the future. We are indeed fortunate to live and work and raise our children in such an attractive and amicable community in these United States.

As Town Manager of our community, I would urge all citizens and organizations to join in this celebration as an important reminder that this nation and our community was founded on the principle of individual freedom, and that it is for us the living to forever protect and strengthen this heritage. Join with us in the fun participation of scheduled events during the year 1988.
