An 1892 map of the center of Hampton showing the location of the High School on “the Academy road.” This “dwelling” map is one of a set of three published in the”Town and City Atlas of the State of New Hampshire,” D.H. Hurd & Co., Boston, Mass., 1892. The companion maps — one showing the houses and buildings of the Town (without detail for the center of Town) and one of the Beach north and south of Boar’s Head — are reproduced as the frontispiece and back cover, respectively, of the 1970 one-volume reprint of Dow’s “History of Hampton.”
