HAMPTON BEACH — With the observation of the Hampton Beach Village District’s Centennial comes the primary item of the 100th anniversary — a coin which symbolizes the origination of the Precinct as a fire protection organization and its growth into the multi-faceted organization of service to the Precinct community and its visitors.

The coin is the size of a silver dollar, with a 3/8-inch silver colored border surrounding a gold colored embossed die cut of the New Precinct emblem on one side. The other side depicts a fire department emblem and pumper.

There were many suggestions for the design, but the chosen coin represents more clearly the Precinct’s century of growth.

The coin comes in a plastic case that will protect it from tarnishing. Details regarding the sales of the coins as well as anniversary T-shirts and hats are available on the Precinct’s Web site at www.Hamptonbeach.org.
