HAMPTON -- The old Hampton Village Hardware is getting ready to reopen with a new name and under new management. However many of the faces will be the same, as will their experience and commitment to the customers.

New manager of Hampton Center Hardware, Keith Prince, has much confidence in the knowledge and experience of his staff, many of whom worked for years at Hampton Center under previous management.

"Sally Lamprey worked at Hampton Village for 20 years, Phil Cote was the prior manager for five years and has over 37 years of experience hardware," said Prince.

The resident paint specialist, Dick Adams, is a professional artist with experience carrying over from Hampton Village.

Apart from their inventory of tools, hardware, and paint they also offer glass and screen repair, keys cut, and tools sharpened.

Prince is also hoping to start a propane exchange program at Hampton Center Hardware.

Hampton Center Hardware is still undergoing renovation. Prince expects that it will be ready for business in early April.

"Right now we're in the process of cleaning and fixing it up," said Prince.

Hampton Center Hardware is located at 2 High Street in Hampton and will be open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Their phone number is 929-7900.
