HAMPTON BEACH -- Hungry after a long day on the boardwalk? Head over to 3 "D" Street for great food and a great time - there is something for everyone at Cascade Café.

Located in the heart of Hampton Beach, Cascade Café, owned by Terry and Laurie Sullivan, has been open to hungry beach-goers for breakfast, lunch and dinner for more than 20 years.

And Cascade Café has certainly made a name for itself. In addition to award-winning clam chowder, the restaurant lays claim to "The Best Seafood on the Beach" Award two years running at the annual Hampton Beach Seafood Festival.

But the seafood dishes aren't the only meals with award-winning flavor. Matt Gangi, back manager at the Cascade Café, says the Marinated Steak Tips, which are "skewered with fresh peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes," are "out of this world."

In addition to ample seafood and beef options, the restaurant offers a variety of delicious appetizers, salads, poultry plates, pasta dishes, burgers, sandwiches and meals for the kids. This season, Cajun Popcorn Shrimp and Chicken Carbonara will make a debut on the delectable list of offerings at Cascade Café.

And if customers still can't find anything on the extensive menu that hits the spot or suits their dietary needs, the kitchen-staff is more than willing to make accommodations.

"We are very open to special requests," Gangi says.

Don't forget to take advantage of the restaurant's full bar menu. And be sure try one of Cascade Café's frozen drinks or ice-cold beers for a refreshing summer treat.

"We boast the coldest beer on the beach," Gangi says.

In addition to choosing from the wide selection of food and drink, patrons at Cascade Café have the opportunity to select the dining environment that best fits their taste. A cozy bar, newly renovated dining room with a maritime theme and greenhouse glass windows and a spacious deck are all open to customers.

Looking to be entertained while you dine? Look no further: Cascade Café offers live entertainment on the weekends.

"It's a rock alternative selection," Gangi says. "It's very much family music." Music isn't the only amusement available at Cascade Café. The restaurant's location, directly next to the Hampton Beach Casino Waterslide, makes the deck a favorite location for families. Kelli George, front manager at Cascade Café, says the restaurant's younger patrons love to take advantage of the slide.

"Parents like to relax on the deck and watch their kids," she says.

For an especially memorable experience, head over to Cascade Café on Wednesday evenings. Get there early for a seat on the deck, sit back, relax and enjoy Hampton Beach's weekly fireworks display. Gangi and George both say the restaurant offers the best view of the fireworks on the beach.

Cascade Café's staff is sure to add to any family's evening of delicious food and great entertainment. Gangi and George agree that the welcoming, hard-working staff contributes to the restaurant's friendly, family atmosphere.

"The staff is an eclectic group of people from all different backgrounds," Gangi says. "We're tight-knit, we joke around. But when push comes to shove, we get down to business."

Cascade Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven day per week. Breakfast begins each day at 7:30 a.m. For more information call (603)-926-5988.
