Within the walls of Community Bank & Trust Company's Hampton Branch, customers enjoy not only professional personal service, but an atmosphere rich in history as well.

Three and a half years ago, when Community Bank & Trust moved into its 117 Winnacunnet Road location, the company was faced with the challenge of preserving the historical nature of the older building. Now they have had the privilege of being recognized by the Hampton Heritage Commission for protecting one of the town's landmark structures, the first of what will be annual award, according to Tina Levasseur, Vice President - Branch Manager of Community Bank & Trust Company's Hampton Branch.

"We are a local bank, with local people making local decisions," Levasseur says. As such, clients of Community Bank in Hampton will see the familiar faces of the bank's staff at any number of community affairs, be it the renowned Hampton Beach Seafood Festival, or the upcoming Hampton Rotary Auction in March, where this year the pick up of auction items will take place at the Community Bank & Trust Hampton office.

Community Bank & Trust Company was established in 1990, and celebrated its tenth anniversary in July, 2000. They are a full-service bank offering a wide range of products and services at all of their branches, which, in addition to Hampton, include Wolfeboro, Exeter, Plaistow and Melvin Village. A new full-service branch is scheduled to open this summer in Derry, NH.

Management continues to take strides to provide updated products and services to its customers, and is currently working to bring Internet Banking to its customers. This product will allow customers to access their accounts through the Internet, to see account activity, transfer money from one account to another, and to pay bills electronically. "This product is currently in the pilot, testing stage, and we anticipate this technology to be available to our customers by April," says Levasseur.

In addition to professional, friendly service, customers at Community Bank & Trust can look forward to a host of services, many of them unique in today's banking market. Commercial and residential loans, high yield CDs, the Master Money Debit Card and the Money Market account remain a draw for discerning customers. Free Senior Citizen checking, safety deposit boxes which have become a rarity in most banks, and an old standby, the ever popular Christmas Club coupon books, are more reasons for Community Bank & Trust remaining the bank of choice for many of Hampton's residents.

Community Bank & Trust Company, located across from the Lane Memorial Library, has bank lobby and drive-up hours Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon. The bank's ATM is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is also a 24-hour phone bank available to customers.
