HAMPTON — Fame to Frame, located at 868 Lafayette Road, has brought one stop shopping for all your photographic and custom framing needs to Hampton. Whether you are an amateur enthusiast or a seasoned photographer, look no further. Specializing in everything from in studio portraiture to on site photography for special occasions, custom framing, digital re-mastering, and photography gifts and supplies, Fame to Frame has it all.

Owners Paul LeRoux Jr. and Susan Ayers opened their doors on December 23 of 2003. Recently, their team has expanded to include Paul's son-in-law, Wade Gosselin. Paul has been an amateur photographer for more than four decades, with a professional background in accounting. He has always had a passion for photography, and loves woodworking. Over the last year, he has been able to combine his talents and make his dream take shape.

Susan, a full-time mom for the last 15 years, is Paul's partner, both in life and in business. An eye for the artistic, Susan is enjoying being back in the business world and working with the public. Wade, their most recent addition, has been an eager amateur for the last 10 years while making a living as a commercial printer. He has done both magazine work as well as wedding and portrait work and his photos have been published in both America and the United Kingdom. His printing background has given him a great eye for color balance and composition and he is thrilled to be joining Fame to Frame and putting his passion to professional use.

In addition to offering 35mm, digital and underwater cameras carrying name brands like Kodak, Konica-Minolta and Olympus, this 2,100 square foot shop also offers many accessories and personalized photo gifts like mugs, T-shirts and other novelty items. Some of the accessories they carry include Bogen tri-pods, camera bags, batteries, film, and chargers, and they will be offering binoculars in the near future.

Another great feature to Fame to Frame is their "Wall of Fame". Here, they invite amateur photographers to bring in treasured favorites that they will frame and sell to the public. This way, they are able to both advertise for the local artist and, Fame to Frame's framing expertise can be showcased.

In-house portraiture of families, children, graduates and the like is available in their studio. and weddings and special occasion photography on-site is also available. They can provide corporate coverage, sports events, and even passport and ID photos. When a customer comes to them, they sit down and consult with the customer about their ideas and desired end result and work with them to make their vision into a reality. Different finishes and styles like color, black and white, sepia (an antique look), glossy and matte are available for any photo.

They are firm believers that "digital is here to stay", and so although they produce wonderful results with traditional film, they stay focused on being on the cutting edge of digital technology. It is becoming more affordable by the day, and with their equipment, they can digitize virtually anything onto a disk or from a disk onto most gift items and can scan and make prints from any media source.

Fame to Frame is truly able to work with their customer from start to finish with their photographic art. Once they have had photographs taken, or bring in ones from home, their selection of frames is second to none. Within the store, hundreds of samples of frames are displayed for perusal from woods like pine, walnut, oak and maple, and metals in different profiles, colors and finishes in all different styles.

Larson Juhl is their exclusive framing distributor and through them, they have access to thousands more frames pictured in their catalogs. Fame to Frame works with the customer to find the perfect frame to fit their taste and compliment their picture.

Their store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
