HAMPTON -- The Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of the recently redecorated O'Leary's Grille.

The lounge has been moved to the back of the building, creating a beautiful family-oriented dining room. Located at 816 Lafayette Road in Hampton, the completely renovated restaurant now offers daily specials and lower prices.

Owners Laura and Bobby O'Leary are responding to their customers' ideas, gathered from a suggestion box placed in the restaurant.

According to Laura O'Leary, "To our valued customers, business owners, family, and friends; we understand that times are tough, we are all feeling the pinch of the economy," said Laura O'Leary. "We have accommodated a lot of the suggestions that you gave us, and believe that you will enjoy the changes."

Some of those changes include a $5.99 lunch menu that is now available from 11:30 am. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. The menu has been consolidated and prices are lower.

There is also a great selection on a new kids' menu and the brand new dining room that welcomes families. Some video games are available in the dining area to keep kids occupied and televisions are all around to keep customers up on the game while they enjoy an affordable dinner in the family friendly atmosphere.

Families are also welcome in the lounge to watch a game on the five flat-screen televisions. Children are welcome in the lounge until the kitchen closes. The full menu is available in the lounge as well.

"In the lounge, bar snacks are now available during happy hour," Laura said. "We have installed acoustic tiles to reduce reverberation and noise level.

"Customers asked for activities, and some of the solutions are that the golf game is back, we have karaoke every Wednesday night and a cribbage tournament is coming with no entry fee," she said.

Specials include Ladies Night every Thursday with half-priced drinks 7:30 to close, an extended happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Drink, draft and food specials as well during Pats, Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox games, and all day Sunday.
