HAMPTON -- Yes ladies, for those of you looking for something a little classier than an "I'm with Stupid" T-shirt (even if the T-shirt may be relevant) there is a new little shop on the beach that's just for you.

Fa Lundeen and Peg Seymour, sisters and co-owners of Pink Shutters, are offering women visiting Hampton Beach a little bit of everything, complemented by a Caribbean flair.

There is a plethora of things to choose from. Jackets, breezy skirts, stylish tees, jeans, trendy tops, beach cover-ups, sarongs and scarves, bathing suits, jewelry, handbags, watches, sweaters, sunglasses, and hoodies. A variety of hats and gifts are also available, many in a host of bright and airy summer colors to have you looking your best — whether you're basking in the sun or enjoying a night on the town. Pink Shutters has quality items offered at a very reasonable price.

"We don't want to be just another T-shirt shop." Seymour said. "It's a girly-girl shop. It's feminine and it's pretty. It's about women and making them feel good."

"There's nobody around that has this stuff," adds Lundeen.

The success of this unique shop is already evident. The sisters said Pink Shutters has been well received since its opening a little more than two months ago.

"Even though it's not yet high season we've had a lot of repeat customers," said Seymour.

The two women decided to open the shop after a recent visit to the Caribbean isle of Anguilla.

"Peggy and I have always talked about opening a business together," said Lundeen. "We said wouldn't it be fun to open a little boutique."

The shop will remain open through the summer season, with perhaps a sister shop in Anguilla during the winter.

"That's our dream," Lundeen said. "It would be six months here and six months there."

So why Pink Shutters?

"Pink isn't just a color, it's an attitude," said Seymour, who added that she never used to wear the cheery color. "I felt better having put something sweet and pink on. It's a color that goes with everything."

"It's a 'feel good' color," added Lundeen.

Pink Shutters is located at 367 Ocean Boulevard and can be reached at (603) 926-3604.
