HAMPTON -- Yvonne Pappargeris, owner and operator of Yvonne's Music Factory is supporting her community. As a member of the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce, Yvonne stepped in on short notice as entertainment for this month's Business After Hours, held at Tuck Museum, when the entertainer who was scheduled had to back out.

"I didn't mind providing the music at the Tuck Museum Business After Hours," says Yvonne. "I've helped Catherine Fletcher of the Hampton Historical Society for the last two years — donating my time for Tuck Museum's annual pig roast fundraiser, so Business After Hours was just one more way for me to help the Seacoast community. It also gives me a chance to share my love of music, and make these events even more enjoyable and memorable. Everybody always has a great time moving to the music."

Since starting Yvonne's Music Factory in 2002, Pappargeris spends her days working with her state-of-the-art DJ equipment and cataloging her ever-growing CD collection that has selections from the 1940s through today's hits. She has worked at several lounges, all of them catering to different musical tastes, and handles a variety of celebrations as well, from birthdays and weddings to organization and corporate events.

"I take what I do very seriously. I practice, practice, practice, to make sure I'll be at my best when I'm working functions and venues," says Pappargeris. "I've been through a very challenging time of my life, and my music and my work have been the saving grace. It's something I love to do, and everybody I work with says it shows. What could be better than bringing music and fun into people's lives?"
