HAMPTON -- An Exeter ice cream shop owner plans to make a sweet addition to downtown Hampton.

Arielle Wolfe on April 15 will open a Hampton ice cream shop at 356 Lafayette Road, next to Las Olas Taqueria.

Wolfe is the owner of Stillwells Riverwalk Ice Cream on Water Street in Exeter, which opened in April 2011 and received a Best New Ice Cream award from ApplaudWomen.com.

Her mother, Peg Wolfe, owns a Hampton Beach ice cream shop, as well as another shop in Plaistow.

Arielle Wolfe's shop in Exeter serves 50 flavors of Richardson's Ice Cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet, Richie's Italian Ice and gelato.

The downtown Hampton ice cream shop will be open year-round like the Exeter store, she said.

Arielle Wolfe said she's close friends with Matt and Julie Burke, owners of Las Olas Taqueria, which also opened in Exeter before opening a Hampton location. Wolfe is happy to become business neighbors in Hampton with her friends.

"We thought it was a good move," Arielle Wolfe said. "The people are really nice."

And she'll be providing dessert for those dining at other Hampton eateries.

"We don't do sandwiches," Wolfe said, "but everyone likes ice cream."
