HAMPTON — What could be better than combining beer, burgers and pizza? It's Joe's New York Pizza's 15th year in Hampton and they're going where few pizzerias have gone before: Adding craft beer and burgers to their menu.

Joe Kelley is the restaurant's owner and said he's excited about Joe's new direction.

"I think people really like craft beer and it goes great with pizza," Kelley said. "We've always had great pizza, we were just lacking in the beer department."

Kelley says while it will take a few more weeks before they're ready for burgers, people have been digging the look and feel of their brand new Mustache Bar that offers 32 different craft beers on tap at cheap prices.

Kelley said he didn't want to just serve the same 10 beers and that is why they plan to rotate their selection.

"We don't just want to have the best-selling beer; we want to have some from a couple different brewers," Kelley said.

As part of the new changes, Joe's Pizza has been renovated with new floors, chairs, tables and TVs.

To celebrate the new changes, Kelley said they donated the beer sale profits from Aug. 22 to the New Hampshire victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Kelley said they are also considering having live music and entertainment in the future and hopes to rebrand Joe's Pizza as a full-service restaurant rather than just a pizza place.

"I've never meet someone who disliked our pizza, but people weren't excited about it," Kelley said. "We're trying to change that."
