The Bailey Medical Building is situated on the site of the "Morning Glory Cabins", an enterprise which opened around 1939 and closed during the 1970s, owned and operated by various owners over the years. See aerial view below of this area. The following is information taken from various local town directories [dates are the publication dates for the directories], showing the different owners and the changes in the name of the business:
  • 1938 -- No reference to Morning Glory Cabins
  • 1941 -- Morning Glory Cabins, Lafayette Rd., owned by Clarence E. Johnson (Clarence died August 1, 1940, so the cabins were likely opened between 1938 and 1940.
  • 1946 -- Morning Glory Cabins, Lafayette Rd., owned by Edward M. Richardson
  • 1949 -- Morning Glory Cabins, Lafayette Rd., owned by Anthony B. Grasso
  • 1955 -- Morning Glory Motor Court, 877 Lafayette Rd., owned by Mr. and Mrs. Verne P. Fogg
  • 1960 -- Morning Glory Motel Court, 877 Lafayette Rd., owned by Verne P. and Ruth L. Fogg
