The Town and Beach Motel on Lafayette roads, Hampton center, has been sold by the Hampton Motel Association to Albert Lane of Stoneham, Mass., for over thirty years an automobile dealer in that city. The price was over $100,000, making it the largest commercial sale in Hampton since Lamie's Tavern changed hands in 1954.

This well known Hampton motel, affiliated with Quality Courts, was built in 1953 by George H. Bushway, Clyde H. Chapman and Clement T. Waldron, who have operated since under the name of the Hampton Motel association. The building contains 24 modern units, nine of which are kitchenettes.

Mr. and Mrs. Lane, former residents of Swampscott, Mass., recently purchased a home in Hampton and will personally supervise the operation of the motel, having taken over the ownership on January 2 of the new year.
