Friends of Alice Cosgrove Are Invited

CONCORD -- Friends of Alice Cosgrove, director of the Graphic Arts Section in the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development announced that a testimonial for Mrs. Cosgrove will be held on Friday, May 14, 1971 at the Highway Hotel in Concord.

Mrs. Cosgrove who has served the State of New Hampshire for twenty-five years, will retire on May 5 of this year.

She has had a distinguished history in her position, having designed the N.H. Marine Memorial statue at Hampton Beach and the U.S. postage stamp depicting the Old Man of the Mountains.

She is a charter member of the New Hampshire Art Association.

Mrs. Cosgrove's design for the New Hampshire Ski Show booth for 1971 won the "best in show" award at the New York Ski Show this past winter.

Other work has included portraits, including those of Robert Frost and John F. Kennedy, advertising material for the state of New Hampshire, and brochures and other publications.

More than 250 friends and colleagues of Mrs. Cosgrove have been invited to attend the function.
