Maranatha Assembly of God

The Maranatha Assembly of God was established in 1976 and held its first worship service in the North Hampton town hall. A five-acre lot was donated to the church by Paul Lamson, but before construction of a new building began the church received the opportunity to purchase the property at 150 High Street, Hampton. The lot was sold. The founding pastor was Gene Lindley, followed by Terry Barriss and William Nilsen.

New Covenant Congregational Church,
United Church of Christ

This church was formed in 1985 by the Reverend Richard P. Don, former pastor of the First Congregational Church, who, with a number of parishioners, left that church to start a new one. By 1989, the congregation had outgrown the private home where it had been meeting and joined the Methodist Church for combined services. Will Dietrich became pastor in July 1989.
