Fire Chief Hank Lipe said they are still assessing the damage to the fire station, which suffered extensive flooding damage during Monday's storm.

The entire first floor of the station was flooded Monday morning forcing officials to evacuate the building and close it down overnight to allow the water to recede.

"We lost a hot water heater, a treadmill and we had to get our boiler checked," Lipe said.

Firefighters spent the rest of the week cleaning up the station, which included cleaning the carpets and decontaminating the apparatus bays.
