Librarian's Remarks

Number of volumes added by purchase, 144; number of volumes rebound, 49.

Volumes have been presented as follows:
Albert Church, 1 volume; Mrs. Aiken, 1 volume; Mrs. Weeks, 1 volume; W C. T. U., 1 volume; Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D. C., 1 volume; Mrs. S. M. Ward, 2 volumes; Charles H. Lane, 8 volumes; Dr. S. M. Ward, 8 volumes; Perkins Post and Relief Corps, 10 volumes; State of New Hampshire, 12 volumes; Lucy Getchell, 53 volumes.

Number of volumes added by purchase, 144; by gift, 98, a total 242; number of volumes catalogued, 4,412.

Number of volumes issued for the year ending Feb. 15, 1914, 7,250.

Though there has been a slight decrease in the number of books issued, the attendance in the reading room has steadily increased which is very encouraging, especially so, as the majority of the patrons are young people.
