The 31st Annual Basketball Night was held on December 22, 1971 (since 1947-48 sponsored by the Alumni Association). Shown above is the cover of the 16-page souvenir program produced for the occasion.

The Alumni “Old Timers” won 73 to 54. The Alumni “Recent Grads” beat the Varsity 59-54 to go one game up (16 wins to 15 losses) in the 31-year-old series. This 65th Anniversary Commemorative Booklet was announced in local papers last fall.


Vice-President Marshall turns $100 check over to Daniel S. Maloney, President of the Winnacunnet High Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Beginning in June 1972, the usual Association donation will fund the “Alumni Association Scholarship” to be awarded to a graduating Senior who is the legal child of a Alumna or Alumnus graduate of H.A. & H.S. or W.H.S., and who otherwise qualifies under the Foundation’s criteria of college acceptance, scholarship ability and financial need.
