The Hampton Academy facade and/or steeple has graced a number of official publications and memorabilia. On the Hampton Town Seal, designed by Hazle (Leavitt( Smith ’13, the 1852 building is the crest, the place of honor on the arms. Although 684 historic plates (No. 1 in a series of historic plates) were manufactured of the 1971 edition, fewer than that number were issued because of imperfections. The seal showing the steeple, mill and meeting house was produced for Hampton’s 325th Anniversary booklet cover in 1963.
