[Four photographs above:] Dedication of memorial to Etta Colby Blake ’97 (1881-1871). Valedictorian of her Academy Class who taught for 15 years at the North Primary District School, Hampton. On October 18, 1971, some of Miss Blake’s “Blakeville School” pupils dedicated a flag (she always began the school day with the flag salute) and framed photos and mementos to her memory. The Etta Colby Blake Niche is in the one-room district schoolhouse (formerly at the rear of 893 Lafayette Road) on the Green near Tuck Memorial Field.
