HAMPTON -- Mr. and Mrs. William Elliot, 48 Dearborn Avenue, Hampton, recently were honored at a 45th wedding anniversary celebration at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne I. Elliot, 106 Woodland Road, North Hampton.

A simple family barbecue highlighted the anniversary. The couple was presented with a gift, many cards from well wishers and a large cake especially decorated for the occasion by their daughter, Mrs. June Chevalier.

Mr. Elliot, better known to many long-time Hampton area residents as the "Singing Cop", and Mrs. Elliot, were married in Hampton in June of 1927. The wedding took place on the lawn of Mrs. Elliot's home, the Leavitt home on North Shore Road, known as "The Willows."

Attending the family get-together, in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Elliot, were their children, Terry, Richie and David.

Present with Mrs. Chevalier were her husband, Richard, and their children Cindy, Laci and Lance.

Miss Holly Elliot, now teaching in Dover, also assisted. Mr. and Mrs. George Cook of North Hampton were also present.
