Museum Passes

The Friends of the Lane Memorial Library have graciously funded passes to these New England area museums.  Reduced admission or free passes are available to any Lane Memorial Library cardholder -- note that the passes have no cash value, and that each pass is valid only on the date listed.   Please reserve a pass by calling us at (603) 926-3368. Should you be unable to visit a museum after checking out a pass, please contact us to schedule an alternate date.

To ensure fair access, we request that patrons reserve only one pass per family per day. Please reserve your pass at least 1 business day in advanced to allow for prompt processing.

Directions: Take Rt. 95 S. to Rt. 1 S. to Rt I 93 S.  Take exit 20B for Albany Street, turn left onto Seaport Blvd., turn right onto Sleeper Street.  Museum is on the right.

Hours: Daily 9:00-5:00, open until 9:00 pm on Fridays. Closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas, open 9:00-2:00 on Christmas Eve and the day before Thanksgiving.

Patron must reserve a timed ticket with the Museum of Science as well as confirm availability of Library pass. This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free but must have a timed ticket.

1. Your Library pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.
2. YOU MUST ALSO CALL THE MUSEUM TO RESERVE A TIMED TICKET. Call 617-723-2500 (daily, 9am – 5pm).

3. Please call at least 1-2 days ahead to reserve your timeslot otherwise the Museum might be fully booked.
4. After you make your timed reservation with the Museum, they will send you an email confirmation with your reservation time.
5. Please bring both your library pass confirmation (printed or displayed on a phone) and your email confirmation from the Museum when you visit. Show both confirmations at the gate to enter. You do not need to stop at the Box Office.
6. If you are not able to show your Library confirmation on a phone, request a paper copy of your confirmation at the library.

Directions: Follow Route 95 south to Route One into Boston over the Tobin Bridge. Follow signs to Storrow Dr/North Station and then N. Station/Leverett Circle  t 28N. At the end of the ramp, take a left after the traffic light towards Cambridge. At the next light, turn right onto the O'Brien Highway (Rt. 28N). The Museum will be on your left. The parking garage is at the far end of the building.

Directions: Take I-95 North to Exit 4 - Spaulding Turnpike  oute 16 North . Take Exit 7 and turn right onto Route 108 North. Drive one mile to lights at Washington Street, just past City Hall. Take a sharp right onto Henry Law Avenue. Museum is on left next to Rotary Arts Amphitheatre in Henry Law Park

Directions: Follow 101 West towards Manchester. Take the exit onto I-93 N towards Concord. Take exit 8 toward Bridge Street, Rt. 28A. Merge onto Wellington Rd. Continue on Bridge St., and then turn right at Ash St. and continue on to arrive at the museum.

Hours: Open Thursday-Monday 10am-5pm. Closed Tuesday, Wednesday. The Museum is closed January 1, April 18, July 4, November 24, and December 25.

Children 6 and under are admitted free. Each pass now allows admission for 2 adults at $10 each (general admission and special exhibition) and up to 4 children ages 7–17 at $10 each (special exhibition only). There is no discount for children 7–17 for general admission, currently $10.

Directions: Museum is locted one mile west of Copley Square. Driving Eastbound on the Mass Pike, take exit 22 in tunnel, following signs to the Prudential Center, and exit onto Huntington Avenue. The Museum is less than one mile further on the right.

Directions: Take Route 95 to Route 128 North then exit at exit 25A. Follow route 114 East into Salem. Be careful as the roads takes a few unexpected turns. In Salem follow signs for the museum and downtown parking.

On Seacoast Science Center website, patron will click on "Admission Tickets" then click  "Pass holder admission"  to reserve and purchase admission ticket in advanced with Library pass. Pass may be combined with our New Hampshire State Park Pass (if available) in order to park for free at the Science Center. Directions: Located in Odiorne Point State Park along Route 1A (the coast road) in Rye. Take Route One to Portsmouth. At the set of lights just before Yoken’s Restaurant take a right on Elwyn Road then go about 1.3 miles to the stop sign at Foyes Corner. Go straight onto Route 1A South. Continue for 1.8 miles, over the wood bridge, past Odiorne boat launching ramp (on left), to the main entrance of Odiorne Point State Park (on left).

Pass admits two adults and up to four children free of charge. Pass includes free admission to special events including Candelight Stroll, Ghosts on the Banke and July 4th: An American Celebration, New Hampshire Fall Festival and Baby Animals and half-price admission to the Labrie Family skating rink.

Directions: From either I-95N or I-95S, take exit 7 (downtown Portsmouth)  At the end of the ramp, head south towards the center of Portsmouth: left if coming from the north, right if coming from the south. Proceed approximately one mile, through one traffic light, to a yellow blinking light. At this blinking light veer to the right onto Russell Street. At the stop sign at the end of Russell Street, take a right. At the next intersection, make a left turn onto Maplewood Ave. Stay in the left lane and go through 2 sets of lights. At the third set of lights take a left onto State Street. Get into the right-hand lane on State Street. Go through 2 sets of lights and continue to the stop sign where State Street intersects with Marcy Street.  Take a right onto Marcy Street. (Prescott Park will be on the left hand side). Proceed on Marcy Street, past Mombo Restaurant and take the next right, which is Hancock Street. The Strawbery Banke Museum parking lot is on your immediate right. Museum ticketing is in the Tyco Visitors Center, conveniently located adjacent to the parking lot.

Pass admits 1 family free of charge to the library . Admission to the Society's building and exhibitions is free.

Directions: Take Interstate 93 to Exit 14. Northbound - turn left at the light at the end of the exit ramp; Southbound - turn right at the light at the end of the exit ramp. Move into the left lane in order to take a left onto North Main Street. Take the next right onto Park Street (a one-way street that goes up the right side of the State House). At the stop sign, continue straight; the New Hampshire Historical Society is the granite building on the right. Metered parking is available on surrounding streets and in downtown Concord's public parking garages. Street parking is free on the weekends

Library Museum Pass Borrowing Policies:

  • Patrons may only reserve passes to one museum per day.
  • During SCHOOL VACATION WEEKS (Sept - June) patrons may only reserve passes to ONE MUSEUM PER WEEK due to high demand.
  • Zoo New England passes are exempt from the one per day and one per week restrictions detailed above.
