I didn't mention about the pilings you see in the picture at the Hampton Falls Depot Dock. They were floated down river on the raft with the three men for the construction of the Mile-Long Wooden Bridge here at Hampton Harbor. That was finished in 1902 when folks were still camping and cutting by hand. We would see it all, being working so near cutting that marsh. We were with horses just before the bridge was completed.

Mother, Marion, Frank and I were down at the bridge the day of the dedication with horses and wagon to get the picture. We sat in our wagon when taking the pictures. If you look close you can see part of the horse's harness with his neck and mane.
