GREATER TUNA introduced Hampton audiences to two very talented gentlemen in the personages of Trip Plymole and David Weynand who have since become great Hampton favorites. Their hilarious characters in this production got the Hampton season off to a delightful start.

GOOD NEWS, a vintage musical, was updated and was a delightful production by director Mark Madama, featuring Roger Befeler, Melodie Woiford, Joyce Nolen, Deb Girdier, Scott Schafer, with dancers John Scott Leslie Bell, Michael Burrows, and Renee Collins. The floppers and the familiar songs made this a big hit with the older members of our audience.

THE MUSIC MAN brought PHANTOM favorite David Earl Hart back to Hampton as the delightful Harold Hill in this entertaining Meredith Wilison musical which featured among others Korri Nussle as Marion, Deb Girdler, David Weynand, and many others in the company. MY FAIR LADY was a landmark musical starring Karri Nussle in the title role along with Hampton newwcomer Guy Paul who was a delightful Henry Higgins. Jeff Kensmoe, who is now Karri's husband, was a big hit as Freddie. The costumes for this production were quite breathtaking and were executed by Ann and her company, Tracy Theatre Originals. Once again the EMCs got a big chance for work during the season. The group included Peter Foliet, Jennifer C(app, Michael Harwood, Hugh Long, Jonathon MaImed, Richard Ruiz, Anne Swedberg, Melina Shein, with locals Sue Hill and Pat Mockensen playing important roles in the musicals. Musicians were Tom Cunningham an second piano; John Buccini on bass; and Johnny Beach again on drums. Company Manager was Anne Swedberg; Workshop under the direction of Pam Sobrin; Workshop Designer for the Saturday Children's s shows was Larry Frates.
