HAMPTON -- OdysseyNH has received a three-year grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation in the amount of $25,000 per year, totaling $75,000. This unrestricted operating grant will be used to broaden and increase the agency's intensive outpatient treatment programs and supporting the achievement of ONH's three-year strategic plan to further its mission of inspiring youth and families to improve their lives by overcoming substance abuse, trauma and behavioral difficulties to become contributing members of their communities.

OdysseyNH is a nonprofit organization that helps young people, mothers and families reclaim their lives from substance abuse, and other complex problems through an array of intensive treatment and educational programs.

The OdysseyNH family of services includes five distinct programs at four sites. Odyssey Recovery School (at the OdysseyNH Academy) in Hampton, the first and only school of its kind in New Hampshire, began accepting day students in the summer of 2007. Odyssey Family Center (OFC) in Canterbury, is New Hampshire's only high-intensity residential treatment program serving pregnant and parenting women.

Odyssey Adolescent Therapeutic Center (ATC) in Hampton, is an intensive residential program serving the longer-term treatment needs of adolescents with behavioral and substance abuse issues and PACE in Hampton (Located at the ATC) is a short-term, residential treatment and assessment program that provides individual and group counseling and comprehensive evaluations and recommendations for use by the court system, schools, and families.

The Odyssey Blue Heron Inn in Hampton, is a 24/7 staffed, transitional living home serving older adolescents learning skills of responsible adult living while working and attending local schools.

This year, ONH is looking to raise $500,000 to continue much needed capital improvements and to ensure that basic client and community needs are met.
