At the Ashworth this week Saturday evening there will be a whist and dancing party with music by the Pentucket orchestra of Haverhill, for the benefit of the Red Cross. All are invited. Refreshments will be served.

There will be exercises in the town hall by the children on Wednesday, the day before Memorial, as usual.

The Ladies' Aid of the Methodist church met with Mrs. Fred Thompson on Wednesday afternoon.

The W. C. T. U. will meet on Friday at 2:30 at the Methodist parsonage. Mr. Thompson has the program. A mother's meeting.

A very pleasant meeting of the Relief Corps was held on Wednesday when plans were completed for Memorial Day.

The Corps will attend service on Sunday at 2:30 p. m. at the Advent church, with the Post. Rev. Frank L. Long, the pastor will address them. All are welcome.

The speaker for Memorial Day will be Rev. James W. Flagg of Rye, whom it will be worthwhile to hear.

Mr. Edward J. Brown, who is in the Naval hospital at Portsmouth, is doing as well as possible after his serious accident.

Rev. Frank L. Long and Henry Hobbs are both out again.

The Mother's Circle will be entertained on Tuesday evening, May 28, by Mrs. Walter A. Scott. Notice the change of date on account of entertainment by Hampton Academy Glee Club.

Members of the senior class of the Haverhill High school will present the drama, "The Man Who Went", at the town hall Saturday evening, May 25. The entertainment is under the auspices of Oceanside Grange which has arranged for it in the interests of the local branch of the Red Cross. Following the drama there will be an opportunity for dancing.
