Number of volumes added by purchase 113; number of volumes presented 11. The volumes presented are as follows:
Boston Records; Minutes of the Selectmen's Metings, 1799 to and including 1810; Boston Records; History of Roxbury; Memoirs of Pliny Earle, M. D.; A primer of Forestry; Sanity of Mind; Mental Health for the Children of Tomorrow; Life and work of Charles Barnard; The lovely Mrs. Pemberton; Something in the City; The Conquest of London; Her Faithful Knight; Also, by Miss Isabel Stuart, several numbers of the magazine, Surburban Life.

Number of volumes in the library 2,922. Number of volumes issued: afternoons 1,313; evening 1,487; total 2,800. Average number 54. Average number last year 35.

The opening of the Library in the afternoon has proved very popular, and has afforded many an opportunity to make use of the Library who were unable to do so before, especially those at the Beach. It is hoped that the town will appropriate enough money this year so that the afternoon opening can be continued.
