Number of volumes added by purchase, 134; number of volumes rebound, 59.

The following volumes have been presented:
By William Ladd Dodge, 209 bound volumes; also a very large number cf pamphlets and other printed matter; Henry Crapo, 2 volumes; Mrs. James Blake, 4 volumes; Rev. A. J. Aiken. 1 volume; guests at Elmwood Farm, 1 volume: Encyclopedia club, 1 volume; Mrs Brown, 1 volume; Rev. J. A. Ross, 33 unbound magazines.

Number of volumes added by purchase, 134; by gift, 219, making a total ol 353; number of volumes catalogued, 4,188.

Number of volumes issued for year ending February 15, 1913, 7,852, a decrease of 610 from last year's issue.

We are glad to be able to report a decided increase in the number of persons visiting the reading room the past year. We feel sure the interest will steadily increase as the citizens become better acquainted with the opportunities for an hour’s enjoyment made possible by a varied assortment of illustrated papers and magazines amid pleasant surroundings.

The following is a list of newspapers and magazines for the ensuing year:
Harper's magazine, Century magazine, McClure’s magazine, Munsey’s magazine, McCall’s magazine, Review of Reviews, Life, Literary Dgest, Ladies’ Home Journal, National Sportsman, Outing, Bird Lore, Popular Mechanics, Popular Electricity, Scientific American, London Ills. News, Harper’s Weekly, Youth’s Companion, American Boy, House and Garden, Boston Post, Boston Record, Exeter-News Letter, Newburyport News, Portsmouth Times and The Hamptons Union.

Also friends have kindly placed on the tables the following papers: Woman’s Journal, The Gospel Trumpet, The Union Signal.
