Number of volumes added by binding magazines from reading room, 48; number ot library books rebound, 61.

Number of bound volumes in library not catalogued, 304; number of pamphlets, maps, etc., 100.

Number of books given out for the year ending Feb. 15, to residents, 8,080; to non-residents, 531, a total 8611.

Average number of borrowers’ cards issued, 140.

There has been a large increase in the circulation of books, and the attendance in the reading room has been well maintained.

A few changes have been made in the magazines and papers taken, several being dropped and others added so that those on the tables for the present year are as follows:

News, Leslies Weekly, Youths Companion, St. Nicholas, American Boy, National Geographic Magazine, Reader’s Guide to Periodical Literature, Boston Post, Boston Traveler, Exeter News-Letter, Newburyport News, Portsmouth Times, The Hamptons Union, The Gospel Trumpet, Union Signal.

As it is very, desirable that the library be made more helpful, especially to the teachers and pupils in our schools your committee would welcome any suggestion in regard to the purchase of such books as would be of assistance to them in school work.
